Field Hockey Loses 7-1 to No. 20 James Madison
BOONE, N.C. — Senior Jordyn Warren scored her third goal of the season and sophomore Marissa O'Brien recorded her first career defensive save as Appalachian State University field hockey took a 7-1 loss to the James Madison Dukes (4-0, 0-0 CAA) on Friday at the Brandon and Erica M Adcock Field at Appalachian Field Hockey Stadium.

Late in the second half, Warren put Appalachian State (1-4, 0-1 NorPac) on the board. After taking the ball off the sidline, Warren muscled a shot past the goalie making the score 5-1.

Bethany Ashworth scored the last Dukes goal off a fast break and sealed the match 7-1.

Appalachian was outshot on the day 21-6 and earned one penalty corner to James Madison's nine. Goalkeeper Cristina Ceppi moved to 1-4 on the season.
