BOONE, N.C. - Appalachian State University women's basketball is set to play Elon on Saturday, March 8 at 2:15 in Kimmel Arena in the quarterfinals of the Southern Conference Tournament.
The Mountaineers (13-15, 10-8 SoCon) will chase a title in their last ever SoCon Tournament after winning four of their last five games of regular season for the fourth-seed, while Elon (14-15, 10-8) most recently beat Samford and earned the fifth-seed.

• The Mountaineers look to move on to semifinal round of Southern Conference tournament by getting a win over Elon in Kimmel Arena on Saturday.

• Elon will be the No. 5 seed coming into the tournament on Saturday as they hold the same SoCon record at App (10-8).
• Elon comes off a close win to close out the regular season as they beat Samford 44-43.
• No one on the team scored in double-figures, but Jessica Farmer and Sam Coffer led with eight points.
• Kelsey Harris continues to lead the team in scoring with 12.2 points per game, followed by Zora Stephenson with 10.4.
• Coffer leads Elon on the boards with 6.4 rebounds per game.
• Elon currently ranks third in the conference in field goal percentage with a mark of 42.0 percent this season.
• The Phoenix are first in the league in three-point field goal percentage, shooting 38 percent from behind the arc.
• The Phoenix (no. 3 seed) lost in the semifinals to Davidson (no. 2 seed) last season, 71-61.
