Mountaineers End Regular Season in Cullowhee

BOONE, N.C. - Appalachian State University women's basketball will play its last regular season game on Saturday against Western Carolina at 2 p.m.

The Mountaineers (12-15, 9-8 SoCon) come off an exciting overtime win against Davidson on this past Monday, while Western Carolina (13-15, 7-10) recently found a win against Georgia Southern.

App vs. WCU
• The Mountaineers look to secure the fifth seed in the Southern Conference tournament by getting a win over Western Carolina in the Ramsey Center on Saturday.
• The Apps lead the all-time series against the Catamounts, 67-34.
• Under head coach Darcie Vincent, the Mountaineers are 9-3 against Western Carolina.
• The Catamounts recently broke Appalachian's nine-game winning streak against them, beating the Mountaineers 71-63 on November 26, 2013 in the Holmes Center.
• The meeting was each team's first conference game of the 2013-14 season and only App State's fifth game of the season.
KeKe Cooper had a breakout performance in the loss, scoring 22 points and grabbing 10 rebounds, while going 10 of 13 from the floor.
Maryah Sydnor followed with 20 points and 11 rebounds.

• Wakama leads the Catamounts in scoring this season with an average of 10.3 per game.
