BOONE, N.C.- Appalachian State University men's track and field will compete in the Appalachian Pre-Conference Meet on Saturday, Feb. 22 in the Holmes Center.
The meet will begin at 1 p.m. with the men's pole vault event and will end that day with the 4x400 relay.
The Mountaineers will host Milligan, Virginia Military, Wingate, Montreat, Gardner-Webb, Guilford, Queens of Charlotte, Mars Hill, Carson-Newman, UNC Asheville on Saturday.
The Apps come off a strong showing at the Liberty Quad this past Monday in Lynchburg, Va.
Raphael Rojas finished first in the 400m run with a time of 49.29, his best time this season. Joshua Hanna followed in third place with a time of 50.65
Appalachian had three men in the top five in the weight throw with Nathan Milch taking the title with a throw of 52-10.00, good enough for a personal-best. Mason Lasater followed in second-place, while Richard Bell finished fifth for the Mountaineers.
Samuel Allen closed out the meet with a first-place finish in the high jump with a height of 6-6.25.
Appalachian will return to action at the SoCon Indoor Championships on March 1-2 in Winston-Salem, N.C.
