Women's Cross Country Set for Lenoir-Rhyne Open

BOONE, N.C. – Appalachian State University women's cross country will compete at the Lenoir-Rhyne Open on Saturday, Oct. 25. The race is set to begin at 9 a.m.

App State was recently ranked 15th in the Southeast Region accorind to the USTFCCCA earlier in the week for its efforts.

The Mountaineers are coming off of its third first-place team finish of the season last weekend when they claimed the title at the Blue Ridge Open. Tristin Van Ord took a second-place individual finish with a time of 18:14.

Justine Stocks finished in seventh with a 18:48 time in the 5,000m run. Brittany Williams and Samantha Campanaro finished 11th and 12, respectively, while Dana Cox took 14th.

Following the meet on Saturday, the Mountaineers will prepare themselves for the Sun Belt Conference Championships in Mobile, Ala. on Sunday, Nov. 2.
