Mountaineers Travel to ITA Regional This Weekend

BOONE, N.C. – After earning 12 wins at last weekend's Charleston Invite, Appalachian State University men's tennis returns to action when it travels to Chapel Hill, N.C. for the ITA Carolinas Regional Tournament this weekend.

The Mountaineers saw two players advance to the second round of singles play at last year's ITA Regional as Oliver Casey and former teammate Sebastien King each won their first-round matchups before falling in the round of 32.

Zach Bost and Matt Saltsgaver also competed in the event, but did not advance out of the first round. In doubles action, the team of Bost/King dropped its first match as did the duo of Casey/Jan-Willem Kleynhans.

A complete tournament recap will be posted at the conclusion of Appalachian's run in the tournament - the ITA Regional is slated to end on Sunday.

The ITA Regional is the third of four fall tournaments for the Mountaineers, who wrap up the fall season at the Winthrop Invite in two weeks.
