DAVIDSON, N.C. – Appalachian State University men's tennis wrapped up its first fall tournament of the season on Saturday at the Jim Causey Invitational on the campus of Davidson College.

The Mountaineers squared off in matches against Campbell, Charlotte and tournament host Davidson on Friday and Saturday as they prepare for the spring championship season.

Sebastien King looked solid at No. 1 singles as he finished with a 2-1 record over the weekend while teaming up with Zach Bost to post a 2-1 mark at the top doubles spot.

Oliver Casey also finished 2-1 while playing at the No. 2 spot and finished the weekend with a perfect 3-0 record at No. 3 doubles with partner Robert Jenkins.

At No. 3 singles, Bost notched a 2-1 record with wins over opponents from Campbell and Davidson while Matt Saltsgaver finished 1-2 at the No. 4 spot.

In other singles action, Jenkins finished 1-2 in the No. 5 position while Jan-Willem Kleynhans went 0-2 in No. 6 singles action, but did pick up a win at No. 2 doubles with partner Steve Lake as the duo went 1-2 over the weekend.

Lake finished 1-1 at No. 7 singles and 1-0 in the No. 6 spot for the Apps while Eric Greene rounded out the lineup with a perfect 3-0 singles record on the weekend which included a 2-0 mark at No. 8 and a 1-0 record at the No. 7 spot. He also finished 1-1 in doubles play at the No. 4 position with Saltsgaver.

The Mountaineers return to action next weekend when they head to the Wofford Tournament from Oct. 12-13 in their second of four fall tournaments.
