BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Appalachian State University women's cross country finished in 37th place out of 47 teams at the Paul Short Run on Saturday morning.
Kayla Schneider finished first for the Mountaineers and 176th overall with a time of 22:26 and recorded a new personal best in the 6K.
Dana Cox followed, placing 183rd overall and had a time of 22:29, also recording a personal best. Justine Stocks finished in third for the Apps and right behind Cox for 184th place finish and a time of 22:29.
Georgetown took first place at the Paul Short Run with 112 points. They were followed by Dartmouth and Villanova, who finished with 125 and 168 points, respectively.
Appalachian finished the race in 37th place and with a total of 943 points.
The Appalachian women's cross country B team participated in the Mountaineer Open in Boone over the weekend, finishing in fourth place out of nine teams.
Tristin Van Ord finished in first for the Mountaineers and 14th overall with a time of 18:56. She was followed by Shelby Howell, who finished 24th overall, and Torre Moser, who finished in 29th place overall.
The Apps will return to action at the Blue Ridge Open in Boone on Oct. 18.
