Appalachian State

  • Total attendance for the 2012 Charlottesville NCAA Regional was 22,040 for seven games, an average of 3,148 fans per session.
  • Appalachian State was making its fourth all-time appearance in the NCAA Tournament and first since 1986. The Mountaineers are 4-8 all-time in NCAA Tournament action.
  • In ASU's two losses on Monday, the Mountaineers stranded 21 base runners, including 14 in the first game on Monday night.
  • ASU finished its season with 41 wins, a program record.
  • After opening the UVa game going 7-of-10, ASU hitting cooled a bit, finishing the NCAA Regional going 20-of-88 (.227) - a span encompassing the final six at bats against UVa and both games vs. Oklahoma.
