BOONE, N.C.- Appalachian State University volleyball has set its 2011 Spring schedule announced head coach Matt Ginipro Wednesday afternoon. The Mountaineers have set three home dates in the Spring and will play top tier non-conference opponents to help ready for the squad's always tough fall slate.

ASU first heads to just 90 minutes down the road to Winston-Salem, N.C. on March 26, as the Apps will play a tournament at Atlantic Coast Conference competitor Wake Forest.

Appalachian then returns to the High Country to take on the Demon Deacons on March 30th.

Remaining in Boone, the team welcomes Winthrop on April 9, before hosting formidable foes in Tennessee and North Carolina on April 16, with matches slated to start at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

The Black and Gold graduated two seniors from a squad that posted an 18-12 overall record and 9-7 SoCon mark, good enough for a third place finish in the North Division. ASU will release its 2011 fall schedule in the upcoming months.
