Nine former Appalachian State University men's basketball players are currently in the professional ranks around the world.

Donte Minter plays for Portugal's VSC Guimar and was recently named an all-star in the league. He is a teammate of former Georgia Southern standout Louis Graham. Minter averages 17.3 points and 7.8 rebounds for the team, which is 13-9 on the year.

D.J. Thompson averages 10.7 points and 3.1 assists per game as starting point guard for the prestigious Athens AEK club in Greece. He is shooting over 43 percent on three pointers.

Also in Greece, Chad McClendon averages 8.7 points per game for Achilleas Kaimakliou in Cypress. He adds 6.4 boards and a 50 percent shooting mark.

Tyson Patterson scores 14.2 points with 6.9 assists per game for Mexico's Lobos Grises. The team holds a 29-19 record, as Patterson has knocked down 47.5 percent of his attempts this season.

Also in Mexico is Noah Brown, who plays for Halcones Rojos. He is shooting 46.8 percent from the floor with 7.8 points and 2.5 assists per contest. The squad holds an impressive 34-13 record on the season.

Across the pond, Jay McMillan averages a stout 29.7 points and 14.4 rebounds for the Glamorgan Gladiators. He is the league leader in points and ranks third in rebounds.

Doug McLaughlin-Williams playes for England's Sheffield Arrows and averages 23 points and 10 rebounds per game, and has made 46 percent of his three-point attempts.

Marshall Phillips plays for France's Etoile Charleville-Mezieres and contributes 12.3 points, 5.6 rebounds and nearly two steals percontest. He is connecting on 50.7 percent of field goals and 77.3 percent of free throws.

Last but not least, former player and assistant coach Ahmad Smith is the head coach of Ireland's Shamrock Rovers. The team finished fifth in its conference after playing its season finale on Sunday. The coach expanded his role into player for three games, and scored 30 points and 15 rebounds over the stretch.
