Under The Lights: Appalachian State Football - A Date With Destiny, the hour-long documentary produced by FSN South detailing Appalachian State University football's historic win over Michigan in the 2007 season opener, has been nominated for an Emmy award by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) Southeast Chapter.

Jerry Moore is one of the four names listed in the official nomination in the Outstanding Achievement, Sports - One-Time Special category. He is joined by executive producer Steve Becker, producer Ray Goodrich and assistant producer Kyle Payne.
The competition in the category includes three other specials produced by FSN South -
Spotlight: Jeff Francoeur (Steve Becker, Keith Wetzler, Katy Temple, Jeff Francoeur),
Under The Lights: A-Town Dancer Swimsuit Calendar (Steve Becker, Keith Wetzler) and
Under The Lights: Bruce Pearl (Steve Becker, Ray Goodrich, Kyle Payne, Bruce Pearl).
The 2008 NATAS Southeast Regional Emmy Award winners will be announced on Saturday, June 21.
STROOT BRINGS HOME NATIONAL AWARD FOR MOTIVATIONAL VIDEO: Appalachian football video coordinator
Jake Stroot won the prestigious 2008 SAVVY Award at the annual Collegiate Sports Video Association convention earlier this month in St. Louis, Mo.
Stroot's video earned first-place recognition over 24 entrants for the SAVVY award, which recognized the best in collegiate highlight and motivational videos. He beat out runners-up from Georgia Tech and LSU for the top prize.
Stroot is in ninth year as the Mountaineers' football video coordinator. He earned a bachelor's degree from ASU in 2004. He resides in Boone with his wife, Ashleigh, and son, Peyton.
