Jay Wilson joined App State Athletics in July 2025 as the Assistant Athletic Director of Marketing.

Before coming to App State, Wilson was the Assistant Director of Marketing & Fan Engagement at Oklahoma State University. During his three-year tenure with the Cowboys, he oversaw the marketing efforts for football tailgating, soccer, men’s and women’s tennis, equestrian, women’s basketball and softball.

Wilson earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee in 2020. At Tennessee, Wilson served as a student marketing intern for the university.

Originally from Greenville, S.C., Wilson now lives in Boone, N.C. In his free time, he enjoys watching movies, playing golf and any other sport that can keep him active.
