2026: Saw action in 38 games and made 37 starts in 2026 ... Batted a career-best .323 in her junior season with 40 hits in 124 at-bats ... Was one of six Mountaineers to hit seven or more home runs ... Drove in 35 runs, which was the fourth-most on the team and tied for the 24th-most in the Sun Belt Conference ... Was one of four Mountaineers to hit multiple grand slams in 2026 ... Hit a go-ahead home run against Georgia Southern on April 24, which was also her 100th career hit ... Hit a game-winning grand slam vs. James Madison on April 17 ... Fell an RBI short of Makayla McClain's single-game RBI record with seven vs. Gardner-Webb on April 7 ... HIGH SCHOOL
Macy Hamby joins the Black & Gold from Gilmer High School in Ellijay, Ga. While in high school, she was a four-year letter winner at third base, and was named First-Team All-Region every year of her high school career. The infielder posted a career batting average of .415 and slugged 16 homers, making her a twice-recipient of offensive awards. Hamby was also a member of the Georgia Fast Pitch - Tuñon softball club, where she was a two-time MVP and offensive player of the year recipient during her time with the club. Over her three years with the club, she compiled a batting average of .425 and slapped 32 home runs.
