Her first home of the season was a grand slam against Furman on March 7 at the Mountaineer Classic ... HIGH SCHOOL
A four-year standout at Middle Creek High School in Apex, Gore joins App State with numerous individual accolades, including being named the SWAC Conference Player of the Year and earning all-conference honors and all-state honors. She batted .714 her senior year, amassing 40 hits in just 56 at-bats and swatting six homers. For her career, she boasted an astounding .543 batting average while smacking 102 hits and driving in 74 runs. Gore led her team in almost every major offensive category her senior year, including batting average, homers, doubles, RBIs, hits, slugging percentage and OPS. Gore was also a member of Lady Lightning Gold, coached by Natasha Stockwell and John Corn.
