Erin Wykoff

Erin Wykoff enters her third season as the throws coach at Appalachian State after three brief coaching stints at McKendree (2012-13), Wisconsin (2013-14) and Rider (2014-15).

During the 2015-16 track season, her athletes aided in the women winning their first ever Sun Belt Conference Indoor Track and Field Championship. Thrower Brianna Tate racked up seven points in the shot put and the weight throw, and Nathan Milch put up 13 points from a second-place finish in the shot put and a fourth-place finish in the men’s weight throw.

In the outdoor season, shot putter Nathan Milch qualified for the NCAA East Preliminary round, and three of her throwers scored points at the Sun Belt Conference Outdoor Championships.

The St. Jacob, Ill. native competed collegiately at Virgina and graduated from UVA in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in sociology. While there, Wykoff participated in the throwing events on the women's track team, specializing in the discus, hammer throw and weight throw and was a three-time NCAA East Regional qualifier. In the 2012 outdoor season, she was the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) discus champion. In 2011, Wykoff earned second-team All-American honors after finishing 12th in the discus at the outdoor NCAA championships.
