2017
Singles – Fall: Played in three matches with one win in the 49ers Fall Invitational … Spring: notched a win against Lees-McRae's Tom Deeley, finishing the fall and spring season with a 2-2 mark.

Doubles – Fall: Claimed a pair of victories with Campbell Stone in the 49ers Fall Invite … Spring: Won a doubles match against Lees McRae with Alex Pavkovich … finished his first season with a 3-1 mark in doubles, while winning five of eight overall contests through singles and doubles play. 

Prior to App State: Spent three seasons at The University of Texas at Tyler (two seasons) after spending a season at Tyler Junior College for a year ... Free endured three great seasons at both schools, where he received a number of team and individual accolades ... in his lone season at Tyler JC, Free played a pivotal role in the Apache Athletics earning a 2014 NJCAA National runner-up spot ... at UTT, the redshirt junior made first-team all-Southwest Conference in 2014 ... excelled off the court where he was a two-time Academic All-American ... helped lead the Patriots to two-straight conference championships. 

High School: Attended James Madison High School and Conestoga High School where he endured a successful career ... led Conestoga High School to a PIAA State Championship in 2011 ... garnered first-team all-main line honors  and first team all-district I Pennsylvania. 

Personal: Son of Dr. Frank and Deanna Free ... has two siblings, Hannah and Mallory ... hobbies include politics, playing guitar and reading ... plans to get his master's degree in higher education administration ... intends to coach collegiate tennis after graduation and work in an athletic department ... father played football at Memphis.
