2016: Appeared in 17 games, starting 13 … logged 1,117 minutes overall … finished with a tied-career high in points (four – fifth on team) and assists (two – tied-first on team) … recorded 14 shots and four shots on goal … assisted on the first goal of the match against USC Upstate (Sept. 13) en route to a 3-1 win … assisted on the game-winning goal against Davidson (Sept. 24) in the 76th minute to get the 2-1 victory … scored his first collegiate goal in the 2-1 win over Campbell (Oct. 25) in the 74th minute from 20 yards out.

2015: Appeared in 10 games in his freshman year ... scored his first collegiate goal on his only shot of the season against NC State (Oct. 19).

High School: A midfielder from Smithfield, N.C., Avila was an all-conference selection as a junior and senior, while also being an all-region pick his junior year.

As a member of TFCA 96 Alliance, Avila ranked in the top 150 players in his high school class by College Soccer News. He was a three-time state cup champion (2010-11, 2011-12, 2013-14). In 2014, Avila was a Region III finalist and a Disney Showcase champion. Rated as a four-star recruit in the 2015 Boys IMG Academy 150 Player Pool. He is the #124 recruit in the nation, according to College Soccer News.
