Cory Keehn

Cory Keehn is in his first season as the men's cross country operations assistant.

Keehn is a full-time staff member with Athletes in Action (Cru ministry). He works with distance runners of all levels and wants to see them develop their character as much as their athletic performance. He has helped lead the Ultimate Training Camp, which teaches athletes that their identity is not in what they do but in who they are.
 
Keehn graduated from Fort Hays State University in 2015. with a degree in human health and performance degree. He went on to study organizational leadership for a year as a graduate student and also spent two years teaching personal training classes for high school track athletes.
 
As a student athlete, Cory competed at the NCAA Division 2 level. He was an Academic All-American every season at Fort Hays State. He was a first team All-American in cross country, second team All-American in the indoor 3k and 5k, qualified for nationals three times in cross country and twice in track. He also won eight MIAA conference championships throughout his college career.
 
After college, Cory went on to run for the Kansas City Smoke Elite. During his time with the team, he qualified for the 2016 Olympic Trials Marathon and finished 16th at the USA 15k championships. His personal bests are 8:13 3k, 14:24 5k, 29:44 10k, 24:07 8k (XC), 29:52 10k (XC), 47:15 15k and a 64:24 Half Marathon.
 
Cory and his wife Alexandra grew up in eastern Kansas and now live in Vilas, N.C.
