Serves as Appalachian State’s “true” long snapper, handling the duties on punts ... was nearly flawless as a redshirt freshman, which contributed to the success of all-America punter Bentlee Critcher.

2013: Performed Appalachian State’s long-snapping duties for punts while teammate Brett Heimrich was the snapper for “short” snaps (field goals/PATs) ... handled the role for all 54 punts on the season without an errant snap ... recorded one tackle against Samford.

2012: Joined team at midseason but did not see game action.

2011: Attended Appalachian State but was not a member of the football program as a true freshman.

High School: Was a prep quarterback at Eastern Alamance H.S. … led team  to 13-3 record and berth in North Carolina 3A state championship game as a senior in 2010 … threw for 2,562 yards and 21 touchdowns during senior campaign … coached by John Kirby.
