One of Appalachian State’s biggest players (6-2, 320 pounds) looks to return to the starting role at right guard that he held for the final four games of last season … came out of spring practice penciled in as the starter at right guard but will have to hold off a challenge during fall camp from fellow junior Alex Acey, who was the starter last year before his season was derailed by injuries … is a hard-working, powerful player that continues to improve his technique as he gains experience.

2012: Saw action in all 12 games … started the final four games of the campaign at right guard … graded out at 77 percent over 180 snaps on the season … was credited with 12 knockdowns and surrendered only one sack … moved into the starting role after a strong showing as a reserve versus Wofford (84-percent grade over 43 plays) … recorded three knockdowns in first start at Western Carolina … also had three knockdowns in win at top-ranked Georgia Southern.

2011: Saw action in six games as a reserve offensive lineman and contributor on PAT/field goal unit … made collegiate debut in season opener at Virginia Tech … was in for a season-high 13 offensive snaps in win over Western Carolina.
