High School: Threw for 1,600 yards and rushed for 1,000 as a senior quarterback at Ardrey Kell H.S. in Charlotte ... received all-conference recognition as a senior ... two-time AKHS offensive MVP  ... earned three letters on the gridiron ... coached by Adam Hastings ... also lettered three times in baseball under head coach Hal Bagwell, an Appalachian State alumnus.
