Joined team in January after transferring from the University of North Carolina … possesses an impressive big body at 6-6, 310 pounds … performed well enough during his first spring practices at ASU to earn a spot on the two-deep going into fall camp as the top backup behind projected starter Shaq Counts at left guard … has three years of eligibility remaining and does not turn 20 until September despite graduating from high school in 2010.

Redshirted as a true freshman at the University of North Carolina in 2010 … sat out of football in 2011 before transferring to Appalachian in January 2012.
