Position Description

• Assist the full-time staff of the App State Athletic Marketing Department in their graphic design duties
• Assist with office responsibilities
• Must be efficient in Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign etc.)
• Ability to create fliers promoting weekly events, special events, etc.
• Assist in creating graphics for the video boards at football, basketball, and volleyball
• Assist in the design of signs and billboards around campus and the area promoting sporting events
• Assist in social media design aspects such as cover photos, profile pictures, advertisements, promotions, etc.
• Assist in the development and implementation of print ads
• Assist in the designs for schedule cards and posters
• Assist with other graphic design needs as necessary
• Promote Appalachian State by being creative, professional, motivated, and a positive face for the athletics department

 
Requirements

• Must hold a minimum of 6-10 office hours per week
• Responsible for meeting additional event quotas as needed with projects

 
Minimum Qualifications

• Genuine interest in graphic design
• Ability to manage time commitment and dedicate all required office hours
• Full-time App State student
• 2.5 GPA or higher
• Excellent communication and professional skills
• Strong work ethic
• Ability to multi-task, stay organized, keep up with high-energy, fast paced environment
• Willingness to learn
• Able to attend retreats and meetings
• Have a computer with Adobe Suite

 
Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)
• Working knowledge of collegiate sports and NCAA guidelines
• Interest in or working knowledge of iMovie or some sort of filming/video editing experience
