2017: Played in 17 games, starting two…logged 651 minutes…finished with six shots, one on goal…recorded his lone shot on goal against Coastal Carolina (Oct. 28).

2016: Appeared in 16 matches, starting 14 … logged 1,209 minutes … finished with one goal and 13 shots with three on goal … scored his lone goal against UNC Asheville (Sept. 27) to put Appalachian up 1-0 from 25 yards out … finished with two-plus shots three times (UNC Asheville – 2; Winthrop (Sept. 20), Presbyterian (Oct. 4) – 3) … was called to train with his national team, St. Kitts & Nevis … eventually competed in the U20 CONCACAF Championship in Puerto Rico with St. Kitts & Nevis before being called up to the national team in the CONCACAF World Cup.

2015: Appeared in 18 games, starting in all of them ... had first collegiate assist against ETSU (Sept. 9) before having his second against Hartwick (Oct. 31) ... was sixth on the team in shots (18).

High School: A midfielder from Durham, N.C., Somersall has been a four-time all-conference player (4A Pac-6 and 3AA Big-8). In 2014-15, Somersall was a all-state and all-region selection, as well as, Big-8 Conference Player of the Year. He earned team MVP in 2011 and 2013 and received the offensive award in 2012. Somersall finished his career with 30 goals and 23 assists.

Somersall was a member of Triangle Futbol Club Alliance. He was an ASL All-Star team selection in 2013 and earned 2013 ASL All-Events team. Member of 2014 NCYSA regular season and state champion team and U.S. Region III finalist squad.

Orginally from the Caribbean Island of St. Kitts and Nevis, Somersall was a member of the U-17 National Team in 2012 and received a U.S. Soccer Training invite in 2013.
