BOONE, N.C. – App State Soccer announced its 2026 fall schedule, headlined by eight home matches, including five Sun Belt Conference matchups at The Valley, on Wednesday.
The Mountaineers are coming off three straight seasons of at least seven victories for the first time since 2014-2016.
"We are excited to challenge ourselves with high-level opponents in both the nonconference and conference portions of our schedules," head coach
Aimee Haywood said. "We look forward to once again playing in front of our amazing fans at The Valley while continuing to elevate our program and playing a compelling brand of soccer."
App State will open the regular season on Thursday, Aug. 13, when the team hosts UNCW at 6 p.m. at The Valley.
The Mountaineers will also welcome Western Carolina on Thursday, Aug. 20, at 6 p.m. and William & Mary on Sunday, Aug. 30, at 1 p.m. in nonconference play. The contest against the Tribe will serve as senior day, and the Mountaineers will honor their senior class prior to first touch.
The nonconference road slate is highlighted by a visit to Miami on Sept. 3 at 7 p.m. App State defeated the Hurricanes 1-0 last season for its first ACC win in program history.
Other nonconference road action includes matches against Gardner-Webb (Aug. 23), ECU (Aug. 27) and ETSU (Sept. 10) in regional play.
The Mountaineers will open conference play at home against Georgia State on Friday, Sept. 18, with first touch set for 6 p.m.
App State will then visit Louisiana Tech on Thursday, Sept. 24, in the program's first meeting against the Sun Belt's newest member.
The Black and Gold will close out the month of September at home, as the team battles reigning East Division champion Old Dominion on Sunday, Sept. 27, at 1 p.m.
The team will then hit the road for two straight conference showdowns, facing James Madison on Oct. 1 and Georgia Southern on Oct. 8. The Mountaineers will be back in Boone to take on Coastal Carolina on Sunday, Oct. 11, at 1 p.m. at The Valley as part of Homecoming weekend.
App State will return to action on Friday, Oct. 16 as the team travels to Arkansas State.
The Mountaineers will cap the month of October with a home contest against Southern Miss on Wednesday, Oct. 21, at 6 p.m., followed by a road clash with Marshall on Sunday, Oct. 25.
The regular season concludes with the home finale against Troy on Sunday, Nov. 1, at 1 p.m.
The Sun Belt Tournament will be played from November 9-14 in Foley, Ala.
