Box Score CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The App State tennis team fell to No. 3 North Carolina 7-0 on Saturday.
How it Happened
The Mountaineers struggled early as the pairs of Savannah Dada-Mascoll and Taya Powell, along with Ruby Broadbent and Alexi Cleveland, dropped their matches to give North Carolina the doubles point. Dada-Mascoll and Powell faced an especially tough test, falling to a Tar Heel duo featuring the nation's No. 1 and No. 69-ranked players.
The momentum remained with North Carolina in singles play as all six Mountaineers fell in straight sets. The Tar Heels showcased their depth with their top four singles players all ranked within the top 70 nationally.

The Mountaineers travel to Blacksburg, Va. on Saturday to take on their second consecutive ACC opponent, Virginia Tech. First serve is slated for noon.
