POSTGAME NOTES: #24 James Madison 58, App State 10
App State is on a four-game losing streak for the first time since 2014, its first year at the FBS level.
The Mountaineers still lead the all-time series against James Madison by a 14-6 margin.
With JMU ranked No. 24 in the AP poll, App State dropped to 3-12 against ranked opponents since 2014, including a 2-3 mark against top-25 Sun Belt foes.
This was the Mountaineers' most lopsided loss since falling 66-13 to Virginia Tech in the 2011 season opener.
App State was shut out in the first half of a game for the first time since 2017 (at Idaho).

Defensive tackle
Dylan Manuel snagged his first career interception after
Caleb Sandstrom tipped a JMU pass in the first quarter.
Rondo Porter,
Colton Phares and Sandstrom recorded sacks.
DJ Burks topped all tacklers with 11, followed by Phares with eight.
OFFENSE
JJ Kohl entered in relief of an injured
AJ Swann and threw a fourth-quarter touchdown to Davion Dozer for App State's lone touchdown of the contest. It was Dozier's fifth TD grab in seven games played.
Dalton Stroman led the receiving corps with three catches for 74 yards.
SPECIAL TEAMS
Ian Ratliff punted a career-high nine times for a 45.2-yard average.
Dominic De Freitas made a 48-yard field goal to put App State on the board in the fourth quarter. It was his fifth make of 45+ yards this season.
Trae Nickelson III made his collegiate debut and returned three kickoffs for a 24-yard average.
