CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — App State Wrestling will again open a new year at the Southern Scuffle, albeit with a smaller contingent than in past seasons.
The Mountaineers have six entries for the event held Saturday and Sunday at McKenzie Arena in Chattanooga:
Bryson Terrell (125 pounds),
Jarvis Little (133 pounds),
Riley Edwards (141 pounds),
Aldo Hernandez (141 pounds),
Jeremiah Price (157 pounds) and
Anthony Conetta (157 pounds).

Terrell, Edwards and Price were all dual starters who picked up wins at VMI in a SoCon opener in December. Conetta has also started at 157 pounds this season, while Hernandez has a 13-5 record at 141, the spot where App State lost ranked veteran
Sean Carter to a season-ending injury. Little is 11-2 this season as a true freshman at 133 pounds.
The 22-team field has 18 different programs represented among the pre-seeds.
The 2024-25 season is presented by Hungry Howie's and Penn Station.
