BOONE, N.C. – The App State Softball team returns to Sywassink/Lloyd Family Stadium for the first time in Sun Belt Conference play this Thursday-Saturday, hosting the defending Sun Belt champion Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns. With the team's Sun Belt opener, a packed slate of promotional dates and theme nights were announced Monday for the team's 16 remaining home games.
The 2024 promotional schedule is highlighted by Bark at the Park, Alumni Day and Eras Night, among several other themes. Fans can experience every theme night in full at Sywassink/Lloyd Family Stadium as admission to every home softball game is
free.
Along with theme nights, there will be several giveaways for fans to enjoy throughout the season, which include T-shirts, posters and snow cones. Fans will also get the chance to interact with the team postgame as the Mountaineers will sign autographs for fans throughout the home schedule.
App State will host 12 conference home games and four non-conference midweek games, including a home series with Louisiana, who was an NCAA Tournament qualifier last year, and a visit from the James Madison Dukes, which marks the first time that the Mountaineers will host the Dukes in Boone.
