App State Tennis Announces 2025 Schedule

BOONE, N.C. – Following a 2024 season that ended with the first Sun Belt Championship berth in program history and a second straight NIT appearance, plus a top-25 national ranking for NCAA Doubles Championship qualifiers Savannah Dada-Mascoll and Isabela Romanichen this fall, App State Tennis has announced its 2025 spring schedule.

App State Tennis is coming off a historic 2024 season, returning Riley Collins, Savannah Dada-Mascoll, Naledi Manyube, Taya Powell and Olwyn Ryan-Bovey from last year's 15-win team.

The Mountaineers will play a 22-match season, with seven taking place in the High Country at the new App State Tennis Courts at the Appalachian 105 Complex.

"I am really looking forward to our upcoming season," second-year head coach Hannah Fetters said. "Our team has been working hard, and we have a lot of motivation after finishing a successful fall season. We have a strong schedule lined up for the spring with high goals set for ourselves."

App State opens the spring season in Richmond, Va., by facing VCU on Jan. 17 and Temple on Jan. 18. After a road match against Furman on Jan. 28, the Mountaineers host their first official opponent at the new App State Tennis Courts when they play ETSU on Feb. 5.

Following that home appearance, the Mountaineers will travel for the next seven matches, remaining in the state to take on Western Carolina (Feb. 8), Queens (Feb. 14), UNC Asheville (Feb. 16), Charlotte (Feb. 21) and Dartmouth (in Charlotte on Feb. 22) in nonconference play.

The Mountaineers will begin Sun Belt play on the road in Virginia, facing Old Dominion on March 8, followed by James Madison on March 9.

App State returns to the High Country for its next two matches, competing against Sun Belt opponents South Alabama on March 14 and Southern Miss on March 16.

The Mountaineers make a quick stop in Huntington, W.Va., to take on Marshall on March 22 before heading back to Boone to host East Carolina on March 23.

The Mountaineers then hit the road to continue Sun Belt play, competing at Arkansas State on March 29 before traveling to Monroe, La., to take on ULM on March 30.

App State returns to Boone for the next three matches, taking on Gardner-Webb (April 2), Coastal Carolina (April 5) and Georgia Southern (April 6) at home.

To finish out the regular season, the Mountaineers travel to Atlanta to play against Georgia State on April 12, then face off against Louisiana (April 19) on the road for the regular-season finale.

The Sun Belt Championships will be held from April 23-27 in Rome, Ga.

The 2025 spring season is presented by Hound Ears Club.
