KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – App State softball is set to compete in the Tennessee Classic this weekend with games against Belmont. Jacksonville State, and the host, No. 6 Tennessee.

3/4: App State vs Belmont, 10 a.m.
3/4: App State vs #6 Tennessee, 3 p.m. (SECN+)
3/5: App State vs Jacksonville State, 9:30 a.m.
3/5: App State vs Belmont, 2:30 p.m.

The Mountaineers have won six in a row with wins over Georgetown (x2), UNCW (x2), Eastern Kentucky and ETSU. Preseason All-Sun Belt selection Kayt Houston has been off to a hot start with 18 hits, nine runs, four doubles and seven RBI. Taylor Thorp leads the team in runs batted in with nine.
In the circle, Kaylie Northrop and Sejal Neas have tallied three wins apiece.
Following this weekend's games, App State will play its home opener on Wednesday, March 8 against North Carolina.
