Tennis Ends Fall Season on High Note

Wilmington, N.C. – The App State tennis team concluded their fall season on Sunday at the Seahawk Ocean Classic, hosted by UNC Wilmington. The Mountaineers participated in three rounds of singles matches and four rounds of doubles over the three-day tournament.
 
Maggie Pate and Naledi Manyubi tallied five wins apiece over the weekend. They both tallied two wins in singles play and three wins in doubles, with two of their doubles wins coming as a tandem.
 
Three other Mountaineers finished the weekend with four total wins. Savannah Dada-Mascoll and Ellie Murphy tailed two of their four wins in singles play and the other two in doubles. including a record of 1-1 as a doubles tandem
 
Junior Olwyn Ryan-Bovey tallied four wins, leading the way in singles play by winning three matches and collecting one win with Murphy in doubles play.
