BOONE, N.C. - The App State women's tennis team defeated Louisiana, 4-2, on Friday at Deer Valley Racquet Club in Boone, N.C.
The Mountaineers opened doubles action with a 6-2 victory on the No. 3 court from freshman duo

Ellie Murphy fought back from a 1-5 deficit to clinch the doubles point with a score of 7-6(5).
In singles action, Jansen defeated her opponent in two sets, going 6-2, 6-0, on the No. 1 court. Jansen's win marks her fourth singles win in a row, which brings her singles record to 13-7. The Mountaineers extended their lead to 3-1 after junior
Virginia Poggi defeated her opponent, 6-2, 7-6(6) on the No. 3 court. Gruber clinched match point for the Black and Gold on the No. 5 court with a 6-3, 6-2 win.
