BOONE, NC – App State women's tennis fell 0-3 to Sun Belt opponent UT Arlington on Friday.
In doubles action, Virginia Poggi and Olwyn Ryan-Bovey fell 6-1 at the No. 2 doubles position, while Helena Jansen and Ellie Murphy were up 5-2 and went unfinished at No. 1 doubles.
In singles play, Murphy fell 2-6, 2-6 at No. 2 singles while Poggi lost 1-6, 0-6 at the No. 3 position.
Jansen was up by a set when the match was called at No. 1 singles. Ryan-Bovey had lost her first set and was up 5-2 in the second at the No. 4 singles position.
The Mountaineers will look to bounce back on Sunday at 10 a.m. when they will host Texas State.
