TROY, Ala. - App State women's tennis fell to Troy, 4-0, on Saturday afternoon at the Lunsford Tennis Complex in the first of two Sun Belt matches in Alabama. App State falls to 3-6 and 2-1 in Sun Belt play while Troy moves to 5-5 and 1-1 in league action.
Ksenia Aleshina and María José Zacarias highlighted the day for the Black and Gold with a 6-4 victory over Anastasii Khoklova/Anastasas Khrustaleva as the No. 1 duo. The pair is now team-best 3-0 on the season.
Troy needed just one doubles victory and secured two singles matches against the short-handed Mountaineers.
App State will look for a weekend split tomorrow against South Alabama at 11 a.m. in Mobile, Ala.
