Update on Attendance for this Weekend’s Events

BOONE, N.C. — This week, North Carolina Executive Order No. 195 goes into effect Friday at 5 p.m., easing certain restrictions on businesses and gatherings across the state. The new order permits up to 30 percent capacity for outdoor athletic venues and up to 15 percent for indoor athletic venues.

The new capacity restrictions still require six feet of social distancing between seating pods. Face coverings are required for all guests and game day staff. In coordination with university leadership, conference protocols and venue layouts, the following capacity levels will be followed this weekend for App State venues under the current guidelines.

Updates on venue capacities and ticket information for events after this weekend will be coming soon.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL:
  • Saturday, Feb. 27 game: In addition to family members, App State will sell a limited number of walk-up tickets up to the total that can be accommodated while maintaining the six-foot requirement between seating pods at the Holmes Convocation Center.
 BASEBALL:
  • Saturday, Feb. 27 doubleheader: Based on social distancing in the stands at Smith Stadium, only family members of student-athletes and staff will be admitted on Saturday, up to a maximum of 120. There will not be tickets available for the general public on Saturday.
  • An updated venue capacity and ticket information for games after this weekend will be coming soon.
