BOONE, N.C. - App State softball announces the 2022 season schedule on Monday, Dec. 13. The 56-game season includes four tournaments and 20 games in Boone.

The Mountaineers open their season in Elon, North Carolina, taking on St. Francis on Feb. 12 at 9:30 a.m. The Mountaineers will also face IUPUI and Elon during the opening weekend tournament.
The following weekend, App State will travel to Clinton, S.C. to play in the Presbyterian Tournament from Feb. 19-20. The Mountaineers play in their final two tournaments in Charleston, S.C. from Feb. 25-27 and Athens, Ga. from Mar. 4-6.
App State's home opener will be a midweek matchup on March 9 against Boston College. The first pitch is set for 4 p.m. at the Sywassink/Lloyd Family Stadium. Other midweek opponents include ETSU DH (March 16 and April 19), Western Carolina DH (March 22), North Carolina (March 30), North Carolina Central DH (April 12) and North Carolina Central A&T (April 26).
The Apps open Sun Belt play on the road, taking on Texas State from March 11-13. That will be the first of five conference series on the road for App State, who will also travel to Georgia State (March 18-20), ULM (March 25-27), Troy (April 14-16) and Coastal Carolina (May 5-6).
The Mountaineers will begin Sun Belt play in Boone, welcoming Georgia Southern (April 1-3) to play a three-game series, followed by South Alabama (April 8-10).
The Mountaineers round out the regular season in Boone with Louisiana (April 22-24) and UT Arlington (April 29-May 1). The series against the Mavericks will serve as Senior Weekend.
The Sun Belt Conference Tournament will be held in Mobile, Ala. from May 11-14. The Mountaineers look to make their third appearance in the Sun Belt Tournament since 2019.
