JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – App State men's track & field competed at the Buccaneer Track & Field Invitational, hosted by ETSU, on Friday and Saturday.
The meet was unscored.
In the weight throw, the Mountaineers claimed two of the top-five spots.
Zachary Weinstein was second with a toss of 16.85m and
Peter Kenn placed fourth with a mark of 16.43m.
Patrick Freeman was second in the pole vault with a mark of 4.60m and
Daniel Lauffenburger placed third in the high jump, clearing 1.95m.
In the 5,000-meter run,
Conrad Phillips placed eighth with a time of 15:45.56.
Zachary Mercer placed eighth in the one-mile run in 4:27.35 and Joel Shores was right behind in ninth place with a time of 4:28.89.
The Mountaineers will compete at a pair of meets next weekend. App State will send a group of athletes to the New Mexico Collegiate Classic and a group to the South Carolina Invitational.
