BOONE, N.C. — Week 7 of the NFL season included one matchup of App State Football alums who were college teammates a decade ago and another matchup of two Mountaineers.
Veteran center Daniel Kilgore made his second straight start for the reigning Super Bowl champions as the Kansas City Chiefs won 43-16 against the Denver Broncos, whose roster features punter Sam Martin.
Kilgore played on 80 percent of the offensive snaps in the high-scoring win that gave Kansas City a 6-1 record.

Martin averaged 53.7 yards on three punts, with a long of 60 and one placed inside the 20-yard line, during Denver's loss to the Chiefs.
Akeem Davis-Gaither, LB, Cincinnati Bengals
Davis-Gaither played 27 percent of the defensive snaps and 57 percent of the special teams snaps in a 37-34 loss to the Cleveland Browns.
Kendall Lamm, OT, Cleveland Browns
Lamm appeared on special teams as a lineman during the Browns' win against Cincinnati.
Doug Middleton, S, Jacksonville Jaguars
Middleton was elevated from the practice squad to the Jaguars' active roster, and he assisted on two special teams tackles in a 39-29 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. Middleton played on 70 percent of the special teams reps.
Darrynton Evans, RB, Tennessee Titans
Two weeks ago, the Titans placed Evans on short-term injured reserve with a hamstring injury. He'll miss a minimum of three games.
Tae Hayes, CB, Miami Dolphins
Hayes remains a member of the practice squad for the Dolphins, who were on a bye in Week 7.
Josh Thomas, S, Buffalo Bills
Thomas remains a member of the practice squad for the Bills, who improved to 5-2 by beating the New York Jets.
Ronald Blair, DE, San Francisco 49ers
Blair underwent a follow-up procedure for his 2019 knee injury, and his return will take a "couple weeks longer than expected," according to San Francisco coach Kyle Shanahan.
Colby Gossett, OG, Cleveland Browns
Gossett, a member of the Browns' practice squad, has opted out of this season.
