Women's Track & Field Set for ETSU Track & Field Invitational

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. -- App State women's track & field will return to action on Friday and Saturday at the ETSU Track & Field Invitational. Events begin Friday morning at 8:45 a.m. with the weight throw and on Saturday at 8:35 a.m. with the 3,000-meter run.

App State won the seven-team Appalachian Invitational on Dec. 6 and 7 with 113.5 points. The Black and Gold won five events on the day and broke a school record: NATIONAL RANKINGS
App State owns eight marks in the top-50 heading into this weekend's competition: NATIONAL RATINGS INDEX
Peighton Simmons is ranked 35th in the nation in the preseason national ratings index in the triple jump. Her mark of 41-10.75 (12.77m) set at the Appalachian Invitational in December earned the ranking. The marks also sits in fourth place in program history.

UP NEXT
App State will compete again next weekend on Jan. 19 at the JDL January College Kick-Off in Winston-Salem.
