JANUARY 2020 – ASK THE A.D.
How is the new end zone building coming along?
If the Sun Belt Championship Game in early December is the last time you've seen it, there's been a lot of visible progress made in the last month alone.
The first and fourth floors of the north end zone facility are still expected to open in August, meaning the club level and club seats on the fourth floor would be open on game days in the fall, as well as the bottom floor with the team store, ticket office and other areas that will be used on a football game day at The Rock. The second and third floors are scheduled to be completed later in the fall.
At the other end of Kidd Brewer Stadium, work will begin to widen the pedestrian walkway that circles the south end, and regrading Miller Hill will bring it closer to the field while making it less steep. The removal of the track in Kidd Brewer Stadium is scheduled to begin in May, and new turf will be installed this summer.
We were excited to hear you'll be staying in Boone. What are your biggest goals for the new year?
It's a great time to be at App State and be part of this wonderful community in Boone and the High Country!
We're coming off the most successful year in the history of App State Athletics when you look at everything that's been accomplished athletically, academically and in the community. We are a small part of the academic mission of this great university, and we're excited to tackle the challenges in front of us as we work to move App State Athletics forward. In doing so, we will continue to adhere to our core values of academic integrity, social responsibility, competitive excellence and a world-class experience.
There is still so much to be done to enhance the student-athlete experience and continue in our mission for sustained comprehensive excellence.
To give our student-athletes the best chance to succeed, we need your help. This year, we want to increase our Yosef Club membership to more than 4,000 members, so we will continue to encourage current members to participate in the
Each 1 Reach 1 campaign by finding at least one non-member to join the Yosef Club.
Joining the Yosef Club and buying season tickets are two of the best ways to support our student-athletes, and giving them a world-class experience is what this is all about.
Thanks to everyone for your support. Go Mountaineers!
