BOONE, N.C. - App State women's tennis continues the fall slate at the Seahawk Invitational hosted by UNC Wilmington this weekend.
App State will join Charlotte, Davidson and George Washington for the three-day event in a hidden dual format beginning on Friday.
The Mountaineers had last weekend off after opening the fall at the College of Charleston. App State totaled 16 victories (9 singles/7 doubles) with doubles highlighting the weekend.
Cassie McLay/María José Zacarias (A1 Doubles) and Virginia Poggi/Sandra Anglesjö (B2 Doubles) finished a combined 6-0 to earn flight championships. In their first fall tournaments, McLay and Poggi put on solid efforts with three wins each in singles and doubles action.
The Apps will travel to Blacksburg, Va., next weekend for the Hokie Fall Invitational hosted by Virginia Tech.
