CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. -- Appalachian State will compete in its final meet before the Sun Belt Championships on Friday and Saturday at the Virginia Grand Prix. Friday features only field events and will begin at 5 p.m. with the invitational long jump. Saturday's field events begin at 11:30 a.m. with the hammers, with running events beginning at 3:50 p.m. with the 4x100-meter relay.
LAST TIME OUT
At the Duke Invitational last weekend,
Izzy Evely posted a top-10 finish in a deep field in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 18:12.47.
Baylee Bilyeu tied her PR in the shot put with a mark of 42-2.00 (12.85m) and
Hannah Emery turned in a season-best performance in the pole vault, clearing 11-11.75 (3.65m).

With just two meets left until the Sun Belt Championships, App State owns 15 top-10 marks in the conference:

NCAA EAST REGIONAL RANKINGS
The NCAA East Regional Championships take place in Jacksonville, Fla. from May 23 to May 25. The top 48 individuals in each event and top 24 relay teams qualify for the regional.
Katelyn Butler currently sits 81st in the region in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:48.94.
