Sun Belt Championship Game to Air on ESPN

NEW ORLEANS – ESPN has been designated as the broadcast network for the 2019 Sun Belt Conference Football Championship Game that will pit App State against Louisiana on Saturday, Dec. 7.
 
Kickoff is set for noon ET (11 a.m. CT) immediately following ESPN's College GameDay.
 
The site of the game is yet to be determined. App State earns the right to host with a win in its regular-season finale at Troy on Friday. Louisiana earns the right to host with a win in its regular-season finale against ULM on Saturday, combined with an App State loss at Troy.
 
The Dec. 7 game will be App State's program-record sixth nationally televised game of the season, breaking the school record of five set previously in 2006 and tied in 2016 as well as 2018. To learn more about how to preorder Championship Game tickets, click HERE.
 
The inaugural Sun Belt Football Championship Game carried live on ESPN in 2018 was one of the highest-rated football games in conference history. The Mountaineers prevailed 30-19 against Louisiana at Kidd Brewer Stadium in Boone, with running back Darrynton Evans garnering Most Valuable Player honors with 218 all-purpose yards, including 111 rushing yards and a 97-yard kickoff return.
