BOONE, N.C. - App State women's tennis returns back to action this week with the ITA Regionals hosted by Wake Forest in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Kate Earnhardt,
Cassie McLay,
Teodora Sevo and
María José Zacarias will represent the Mountaineers in the five-day event.Â
Earnhardt will face Pierina Imparato in the first round of the qualifying singles draw. McLay will be in the main draw, while Anglesjö
and Zacarias will participate in the B and C Singles Draw.Â
The duo of Sevo and Earnhardt will face Alexis Franco/Peyton Pesavento of Wake Forest in the opening round of the main doubles draw. McLay
and Zacarias will face Alle Sanford/Anika Yarlagadda of UNC.Â
In the previous tournament at the Hokie Fall Invite, App posted its second straight 20-win outing with a 7-4 mark in doubles and 13-4 record in singles. Earnhardt and Sevo posted a perfect 4-0 mark as a duo. Three different student-athletes went 4-0 in Earnhardt,
Virginia Poggi and Zacarias.Â
Appalachian had successful ITA Regionals last season, posting 13 wins in singles and doubles action.Â
