The parking deck will be the first completed building of the university's new P3 construction project. It is scheduled for completion in August 2019 and will hold 476 spaces that will be within a short walk to Kidd Brewer Stadium. Overall, this will increase the parking on campus by approximately 200 parking spaces.
As work progresses on the parking deck, we are also planning for construction to begin on the first phase of residence hall construction and the North End Zone Project. These projects will positively transform the university and also enhance the long-term fan experience for App State Football.
Yosef Club members affected by the initial construction in 2018 have been notified and reassigned within the Stadium Lot. Appalachian State Athletics will continue to share information with Yosef Club members regarding parking plans for the 2019 season and beyond.
Before the 2019 season begins, Appalachian State Athletics staff will review and evaluate Yosef Club parking inventory. Annual and lifetime Yosef Club giving will be considered for priority allocation in the future.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Are there any construction impacts for the 2018 season?
A: Based on the scope of the projects, there will be minimal impact for the 2018 season. All Yosef Club members who will be affected have been notified. These construction projects are very complex, and potential impacts can change depending on weather and other factors. If we anticipate that construction plans and timing will create a potential impact prior to and/or during the season, we will directly contact Yosef Club members that may be affected.
Q: How will I know if my space is affected this season or in the future?
A: A representative of the Yosef Club already has reached out to members who will be affected in 2018. We will regularly communicate and share game day parking information with all Yosef Club members as details develop.
Q: What will the Yosef Club parking opportunities look like during and after construction?
A: While we don't know specifics at this time, we expect construction to have progressed significantly by the 2019 season. We are planning now for contingencies to mitigate the impacts and preserve Appalachian's outstanding game day atmosphere.
Q: Are parking spaces being lost/are new parking spaces being added?
A: The project calls for additional spaces within a short walk to the stadium that consist of both surface and deck parking. Appalachian State Athletics is working to secure additional parking to meet demand and also to have a variety of offerings for the game day experience. When the parking deck has been completed, the university will see an overall gain of approximately 200 parking spaces.
Q: What if I have trouble walking long distances or am in a wheelchair?
A: Wheelchair ramps and parking, as well as shuttle service, will remain available for our guests who require assistance.
Q: Will Yosef Club parking levels be adjusted during this process?
A: Yosef Club parking minimums will remain constant for the 2018 season. Future review and evaluation based on Yosef Club parking inventory will take place before the 2019 season.
Q: How will Yosef Club members receive parking allocations in the future?
A: While 2018 remains relatively unaffected by this project, we will reallocate a significant number of parking spaces in the future. We will determine priority allocation using a combination of annual Yosef Club giving level and lifetime giving to Athletics.
Q: What can we expect to see in the next season and seasons to follow?
A: Visitors to our campus will see construction underway for a new parking deck and significant progress to residence halls and the North End Zone Project in 2019. We will communicate regularly with Yosef Club members as these projects progress.
