BOONE, N.C. – The football culture at Appalachian State University (captured well in
this piece in yesterday's Winston Salem-Journal) has led to a remarkable tradition of success over the past few decades.
From the three-peat national championship teams of the mid-2000s to the current stretch of three straight bowl wins after making the jump to the FBS, App State fans are accustomed to the Mountaineers' winning ways. In fact, the support from App Nation is one of the biggest reasons why the program has sustained its success.
App State Athletics is honoring the strong support of the Mountaineer faithful and asking even more fans to "Be Part of the Tradition" by offering a new incentive program for 2018 football season tickets that will reward buyers for purchasing their tickets early. Full details are at
AppStateSports.com/FootballTradition.
Fans who buy or renew football season tickets by Feb. 28 will receive the best selection of exclusive benefits, which include discounts for App State gear, free basketball game tickets, a personalized ticket booklet and chances to be selected for pre-game football sideline passes, a private tour of The Rock by App coaches and players, and tickets to attend the 2018 Legends Gala in June. The list of incentives will be trimmed down gradually each month through the end of May.
Those who have already purchased or renewed will receive the February allotment of benefits.
App State will also proudly begin recognizing a Season Ticket Holder of the Week soon at the
AppStateSports.com/FootballTradition site.
The 2018 home football schedule includes a Sept. 15 showdown against Southern Miss of Conference USA followed by an in-state matchup versus Gardner-Webb on Sept. 22. Sun Belt opponents traveling to Boone include Georgia State, Louisiana, South Alabama and Troy. The full league schedule with dates will be announced in March.
