BOONE, N.C. – Appalachian State University head men's soccer coach Jason O'Keefe announced the addition of three student-athletes for the 2017 class on Wednesday.
Tyquann Perinchief, Olamide Onajide and Marc Pfrogner will officially join the Mountaineers.
"We are pleased to announce our final roster additions for the 2017 class," O'Keefe said. "We have been able to address all of our needs with this class. It has size, speed, strength, versatility, competitive spirit and winning mentality. The group will be one that helps add to our current group and set a foundation to build on for the next four years."
With the addition of three more newcomers, the class of 14 now features three forwards, four dual threat, three midfielders, three defenders and a goalkeeper. In the class, nine of them hail from North Carolina with one from Florida, one from Rhode Island, two from Bermuda and one from Germany.

O'Keefe's Take: "Olamide joins us with two years of college and Nigerian youth national team experience. He has an infectious positive personality which will help us every day. He is a left footed versatile player who can play in the back or midfield. He is very competitive and wants to be great in everything he does which will add to our overall depth."
Previous Experience: Played two years at Iowa Lakes Community College ... named first team academic all-region ... a two-time ICCAC regional semifinalist ... helped lead his team to a 26-9 record in two years and a No. 15 national ranking ... a three-year letterwinner at North Providence ... named first team all-division twice ... named to the Dean's list the fall of 2016 and spring of 2017.

He is one of the hardest working players I have seen. He can score a spectacular goal or create something out of his sheer work and desire. He will bring a professional attitude and discipline which will help us from day one."
High School: Played soccer and rugby at Saltus Grammar School ... played on XRoads - "A" Division soccer team ... named to all-stars East vs. West soccer game ... was MVP for soccer and rugby ... was also a track and field champion in 2015, 2016 and 2017 ... during the CAIS Tournament, scored 14 goals in seven games.

O'Keefe's Take: "We are very excited to have Marc join us in August. He is a pacey, crafty attacking player that can create and score goals. He will help continue to develop our team's soccer IQ and help our team continue to develop a style of play by increasing our relationships on the field. Marc has played at the highest level in Germany as a youth and will bring some great experience to our team."
