BOONE, N.C.  – Calling all softball players. Appalachian State University will hold two-day tryouts for students wishing to walk on the App State softball team on Tuesday, Sept. 6 and Wednesday, Sept. 7 starting at 2:30 p.m. at the Sywassink/Loyd Family Stadium.

Any current Appalchian State student is eligible to tryout for the softball team. Students planning on participating in tryouts must complete and bring the athletic department's tryout medical paperwork  to tryout on Sept. 6-7. Students that do not have completed medical paperwork will not be permitted to participate in the tryout!

Participants must wear their own workout attire. In addition, students must meet on the Sywassink/Loyd Family Stadium field for tryouts at 2:30 p.m. on Sept 6 and Sept. 7, have proof of insurance, and sickle cell trait test results. Participants can go to the student health center for the cell trait test.
